Sunrise and Sunset Time lapse Collection From Table Mountain Live Stream

All the videos below were recorded of our live stream using OBS (Open Broadcaster Software). Even though this is a free open source software and can record your desktop you must be careful as it would be deemed illegal to record videos without permission of the copyright owner.

As we own the footage from our live cam we are free to record and Share it on youtube.

We typically record about 1.5 hours of footage and then take it to our video editing program where we would add in the titles logos and of course the music which we hope will keep you listening to the end. Speaking of which it is so important for a youtube creator that you watch to the end as if a video gets a total score of under 60 % viewing time the youtube algorithms will not see the video as beneficial and not promote it thus leaving the creator with less support for his or her efforts.

The whole purpose of being a youtube creator is to share your passion with others and we all strive to reach a milestone of 1000 subscribers and 4000 viewing hours in one calendar year starting from today and going back 1 year. In our case our live stream views count but the live stream viewing hours don’t count so we need our subscribers and viewers to watch our videos in full in order for us to reach our milestone. Once we reach our goal we can then ask for our channel to be monetized and this is done by youtube placing add on our content and when watched in full we are rewarded with a few cents per thousand views and depending on the no of views you stand to make a few bucks for all your efforts.

On the subject of music, it is important to realize you can’t just add any recording to your video as you will end up with copyright strikes against you and you can end up having your channel shut down. which is not going to be cool after hours of work have gone into creating your content.
